17-year-old LanDanOlivia appears to be a typical teenager who enjoys visiting theme parks, going to the beach, skimboarding and spending time with friends.

But her life has been anything but typical. Just a few months ago she was living with excruciating, debilitating abdominal pain, which varied from “eight to ten on the pain scale.”

The symptoms started when she was in ninth grade. She began to have constant stomach pain which was followed by worsening symptoms. She was later diagnosed with functional dyspepsia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and gastroparesis.
